TRACE Magazine is a typographic based magazine. This particular issue focuses on the tools of type and how this creates an experience. The magazine also hopes to create an exoerience for the user. A neutral magazine, using one running navy blue colour, which is carried through the binding, accents, and imagery. I decided to bring in hand gernerated elements to reflect the the name and concept of the magazine, ‘Trace’, design is all about leaving traces. I made the cover through mark making, and hand bound the magazine with a sewing machine stitch. The imagery for the second article makes use of my photography and mark making, creating a striking abstract image which reflects the ideas within the article. I really wanted to put apart of myself into this magazine and I feel I really did through my design choices.
