Three Magazine cover designs for a new original magazine concept. Foam is a design and arts magazine which includes a featured creator within each edition. Foam values the hand crafted and believes individual practice is important.
A portrait of the featured designer included on the cover along with a backing image that relates to the individual. Portraits are created using contact negatives from digital photographs then developing them through cyanotype techniques. The prints are torn by hand then scanned and edited in Photoshop. Simple alignment of the magazines elements draws the viewers eyes straight down the cover.
